Completed programming tasks for increasingly complex applications from custom software to source code generators to proprietary packages.    Responsibilities included detailed design, coding, documentation, testing, and production support.   Provided innovations and tools for reducing development time such as code generators, conversion tools, and automated verification of test results.  The following representative projects included significant programming as well as team leadership, systems analysis, and design responsibilities.

  • Developed and supported proprietary software products (accounting, document indexing and retrieval, and project cost management).  Directed conversion of software using automated tools, planned and prepared new releases, established quality assurance procedures, produced documentation, installed the software, and provided customer and sales support.  Clients included a military contractor, a redevelopment agency (HP-3000) and a satellite company (VAX).

  • Assisted in the development of a relational data base management system and code generator offered to Cybernet timeshare clients.  Defined requirements, designed, and constructed a general-purpose report writer.  Developed quality assurance procedures, which included a comprehensive series of test scripts and automated verification of results.  Led a team to implement the I/O package, the Boolean List Processor, and a data transformation module.

  • Managed the development of an advertising response tracking system for a mutual fund company on a WANG VS minicomputer.  Responsible for analysis and design of all system components.  Directed the programming, system test, documentation, and installation.  The system maintains information on approximately one million shareholders and inquirers.

  • Provided design and programming services for several federal government agencies, including:  (1) prepared requirements for a public patent retrieval system, (2) performed an efficiency study and improvement effort for two systems for a transportation agency, (3) participated in the development of a general-purpose, code-generating retrieval and update system for a transportation agency, and (4) managed the design and implementation of a micro-based computer utilization billing data entry module.
